New T’ings At The Reef In June

A lot of stuff going on at The Reef on Main in June. Let’s see…

  • Euro 2012 starts in 2 days; the finals are going to be shown on a huge screen in the back wall
  • new June menu, check out the blue sheet
  • new lawn chairs in the patio, that’s Simon opening up the stash
  • new art; artist Chris Francis has some temporary work on the walls of the Reef but they will be replaced with his commission work exclusively for the Reef!
  • try the Enchilado, a Cuban seafood stew in the June dinner menu (it’s the pic below)

Hangover Brunch On Main

After triple bar stops on a Friday night, a hearty breakfast is required the morning after. Here’s onc suggestion.
Sausage, onion and green pepper frittata with toast and a large mug of Vietnamese coffee.

-dice half an Italian sausage or chorizo
-dice half a green pepper
-thinly slice 1/4 of an onion
-3 eggs beaten, toss in salt, pepper and pinch of chili powder
Pan fry in a chef’s pan the sausage, onions, green peppers in a couple tablespoons of butter
Pour in the eggs and cook for about a minute then toss into a 350 degree oven for about 5-8 minutes.
